Apryl Burrows is a Bahamian designer whose work is a reflection of both her island roots and a global creative perspective. Raised in Nassau, Apryl developed a deep passion for art and design from an early age—an artistic sensibility that would later be shaped by formal training in New York and Italy. With hands-on experience and academic grounding from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Polimoda in Florence, she brings a nuanced understanding of fashion’s technical precision and expressive potential.
Her label, Apryl Jasmine, launched upon her return to The Bahamas, has grown over the past two decades into a brand known for its effortless style, refined sophistication, and quiet luxury. Her designs draw inspiration from cultural heritage, architecture, and the rhythms of island life, brought to life through the use of luxurious materials and artisanal craftsmanship. Each piece tells a story—an artistic journey through time and place.
Apryl’s collections have been featured in prestigious publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Grazia, Marie Claire, Ellements, and Schoon. Her work has been showcased in retail spaces such as The Curated Closet, Tropic of Luxury at Baha Mar, Escape at The Cove, Atlantis, Flying Solo in SoHo, New York, and Nova Bossa in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her design work, Apryl is the Founder and Curator of The Curated Closet, a fashion and lifestyle boutique celebrating both local and international talent. She also plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of Caribbean creatives as an Instructor and Head of the Fashion Trades Department at The Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI).
